Description of Improvement

This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP) and delivers an interlock stitching module.
The two-up layers are sewn by two Brother sewing machines with the possibility of backstitching. The number
and length of back stitches is programmable, with usually 3 backstitches at around 5 mm length are used on
either side and each machine sews one half of the layer.
During the sewing process the layer is securely fixed in a clamp. The machine stops before the bobbin is
completely empty. Depending on the thickness of the thread the bobbins are sufficient for approx.
250 two-up layers. The production speed per hour is calculated as 50 minutes x 20 layers/minute result in
approx. 1.000 2-up layers/h.
